Belt hits 7th homer of season in Giants' win

DENVER, CO (KTRE) -

Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt hit his sixth home run of the season and went 1-for-4 with a walk in the San Francisco Giants' 12-10 win over the Colorado Rockies Wednesday.

Batting from the No. 3 spot, Belt grounded out in the first inning, flied out in the third, struck out in the fifth, hit a two-run home run in the seventh and struck out in the ninth.

Belt is now in a three-way tie for second place in the majors in home runs. He is batting .299 for the season.

The Giants are off Thursday and kick off a home series against the Chicago Cubs on Friday at 9:15 p.m.
