LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The boyhood home of the first Jewish US Supreme Court Justice and the namesake of the University of Louisville School of Law sold at auction for $800,000 Thursday.

The East Broadway home of Louis Brandeis was built in 1856.

The home was owned by a group of local doctors who decided to sell it to the highest bidder.

It received a state historic designation two years ago.
