A Henderson man is arrested overnight after authorities say he ran from them and hid in a closet.

23-year-old Charles Abbott is now in the Henderson County Detention Center.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says just before midnight Thursday its K-9 Unit along with Henderson police officers attempted to serve a felony warrant on Abbott.

They say after officers made contact with him, Abbott took off out the back of a home in the 400 block of Frances Drive and ran into a tree line behind the house.

The K-9 tracked Abbott through a field and then back to the home where he was found hiding in a closet.

Abbott is charged with Felony Probation Violation and Fleeing/Evading Police on Foot 2nd Degree.  He's being held in jail with no bond.

According to the Henderson County Detention Center website, Abbott has a court date Tuesday.
