A small East Texas community on the brink of being a ghost town is making a come-back.
The abandoned buildings of Sexton City, south of Kilgore, are making way for new vendor booths.
Community members say their city was struggling so they banded together and came up with a plan to bring trade days to Sexton City.
The trade days happen twice a month and bring in hundreds of people, which gives their local economy a major boost. More than 100 vendors regularly participate in the event.
Sexton city trades days are held on the 2nd and 4th weekends of every month.
