Changes coming to annual Kurth Memorial Library book sale

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

The annual Friends of Kurth Memorial Library book sale kicks off Thursday night. The event brings the same low prices but does have one difference this year.

"We will not be having the bid table this year," said Carlotta Hunt. "Instead we will be having a table with rare collections. We have a set of Harvard Classics from 1910. Then for children we have a set of Lemony Sniket's . We have classic sets of James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway and Henry James. The list goes on and on."

Below is a schedule for the  annual sale:

Paperback and Magazines (Friends memberships may be purchased at this time)

Monday, April 28 10:00am – 5:00pm

Tuesday, April 29, Wednesday, April 30, & Thursday, May 1 9:00am – 5:00pm

 

Members Only (memberships may be purchased at the door)

Thursday, May 1 5:00pm – 9:00pm

 

Regular Book Sale

Friday, May 2 & Saturday, May 3rd

9:00am – 5:00pm
