SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A transient looking for a little rest ended up in the Scottsdale jail Wednesday night.

An 86-year-old homeowner returned to her home in a neighborhood in the area of 100th Street and North Thompson Peak Parkway near the Central Arizona Project Canal about 10:30 p.m. and found a broken front window, according to a Scottsdale police report.

She called police and officers discovered 48-year-old John Thompson asleep in the woman's home.

He was arrested and booked into the Scottsdale City Jail on suspicion of burglary.

No other information was immediately available.
