ATLANTA, GA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in the San Francisco Giants' 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves Sunday.
Batting from the No. 5 spot, Belt grounded out in the second, popped out in the fifth, grounded into a double play in the seventh and struck out in the ninth.
Belt's batting average has dropped to .241. He is in a four-way tie for seventh place with eight home runs with eight and a three-way tie for 10th place in strikeouts with 36.
The Giants kick off a series Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:05 p.m. Monday.
