Belt comes off bench, goes 1-for-2

PITTSBURGH, PA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt did not start Monday, but came off the bench and went 1-for-2 in the Giants' 11-10 13-inning win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Pitch-hitting for pitcher Jeremy Affeldt, Belt grounded out in the ninth and singled in the 12th.

Now batting .246 on the year, Belt is in a six-way tie for eighth place in home runs with eight.

The Giants continue their series against the Pirates with a 6:05 p.m. game on Tuesday.
