PITTSBURGH, PA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt hit his ninth home run of the year and drove in three runs in the San Francisco Giants' 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday.
Batting from the No. 3 spot, Belt homered in the first inning, flied out in the fourth, doubled in two runs in the fifth and grounded out in the eighth.
Batting .266 on the year, Belt is in a six-way tie for fourth place in home runs with nine.
The Giants open up a series in Los Angeles on Thursday at 9:10 p.m.
