HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

According to a CaringBridge account set up online, several children involved in a fatal wreck on Monday are in the hospital after their brother was killed.

Preliminary police reports indicate the children's mother, Ryann Brown, pulled out in front of an 18-wheeler on Old Highway 431 around 2 p.m. According to the CaringBridge site set up for the family, 5-year-old Micah Brown was killed in the wreck.

Three of Micah's siblings were also injured. According to the website, Noelle Brown sustained minor injuries, and Rebekah Brown is in critical condition. Both are at Huntsville Hospital. Sarah Brown was reportedly flown to Birmingham to be treated for serious injuries.

Their mother, Ryann Brown, suffered minor injuries and was released from Huntsville Hospital.

The children's father and two other siblings were not involved in the wreck. According to emergency workers, the driver of the 18-wheeler was not transported to the hospital.

Friends of the Browns said the couple and their children are an outstanding part of the community, always giving back to others.

"They are a very energetic, very visible couple," said Ann East. "They reach out to other people. When my husband and I came to the church about four years ago, they were one of the first couples we met."

That church is River-Tree Church in Hampton Cove. The church family set up a table for people to write cards of encouragement and support to the Browns. There is also a prayer room available for those who want to utilize it.

Family friends said prayer is just what the family needs at this crucial time.

"The best way we can love on them is by lifting them up to the Father," said Lynn Abercrombie, "and then trying to find ways to help meet needs they're having during this time."

An account has been set up  on crowdsourcing site GoFundMe to help raise dollars to support the family.
