LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Former Lufkin Panther Carrington Byndom has signed as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers.
This comes after not being picked up in the 2014 NFL Draft, but it wasn't long until the defensive back was scouted.
Byndom graduated Lufkin High School in 2010 where he started 3 years with the Panther football program. In high school, Byndom was also the 14-5A Co-Defensive Player of the Year. He then went on to play at Texas.
In college, Byndom started every game, and was selected as a second-team All-Big 12 defensive back. He finished his career with 45 solo tackles and 7 pass breakups.
