POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A deputy with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested an East Texas duo after a traffic stop on U.S. 146 revealed methamphetamine in some surprising places.

The deputy allegedly found a large baggie of crystal methamphetamine after the male subject asked him to get a cigarette out of his car. In addition, a smaller bag of meth was found under the female passenger on the seat, and the woman allegedly admitting having another bag of meth down her pants.

Zachary Ali Harajli, 21, of Mt. Enterprise, and Brittany Rae Kennedy, 23, of Lufkin, are both still being held in the Polk County Jail. Each of them was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, a first-degree felony. Kennedy's bail has been set at $25,000, and no bail has been set for Harajli yet.

According to the arrest affidavit, the PCSO deputy made a traffic stop on a Dodge car on U.S. 146 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday because the driver, who was later identified as Harajli, turned his blinker on just before he made a left turn onto Langham Road.

When the deputy made contact with Harajli, he allegedly admitted to not having insurance and "appeared very nervous," the affidavit stated. At that point, Harajli allegedly asked the deputy to get him a cigarette from inside his vehicle.

"When [the deputy] picked up the cigarette package up, a large bag of crystal meth was observed," the affidavit stated.

Harajli and Kennedy were then taken into custody. After Kennedy got out of the car, the deputy allegedly spotted a smaller bag of meth under her on the passenger seat.

The deputy asked Kennedy if she had anything else on her, and she allegedly admitted to having more meth down her pants. When the deputy asked her to get it for him, she produced another bag containing a "large quantity of methamphetamine."

Both suspects were taken to the Polk County Jail.
