POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Onalaska and Livingston police departments need the public's help in identifying two suspects that stole checks from an elderly couple.

According to Onalaska Officer Forrest Tooley, an unidentified female working for a company named B&B Cleaning service was cleaning the house of an elderly couple and stole 25 checks from the house on May 12.

Tooley said police have been able to track down two of the checks. One was used at an Onalaska bank for $363.49. Another check was used at a local liquor store for $80.34.

"All checks appear to have been used between Point Blank and Livingston on May 13 just before the victim reported them stolen," Tooley said.

Det. Marty Drake of the Livingston Police said they have determined one of the checks was used at a Livingston bank.

"We need help from businesses in locating the remaining 22 forged [checks]," Tooley said. "We also need help identifying the suspect driving a White Ford Explorer or Excursion seen in surveillance footage from the bank."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Polk County Crimestoppers at 936-327-STOP.

Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.
