LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Young readers can begin their journeys through reading starting tomorrow at Lufkin's Kurth Memorial Library.

The library will start signing up readers ranging from infants through teens on Tuesday for the Go Wild Summer Reading Program.

Readers who participate will log their hours of reading and win prizes based on how much they read.

"They can win prizes through the summer," said Kurth Memorial Library Director Lorraine Simoneau. "The sooner they come in to sign up, the sooner they can start reading. We do have a limit on the amount of prizes we can give out, so the sooner they come in to sign up, the better."

There are also multiple events happening throughout the summer. For a full list of events, click here.
