NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 50-year-old man Tuesday after he allegedly beat his 13-year-old daughter with an extension cord, leaving cuts on her arm and both legs.

Michael Allen Locke, of Chireno, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony charge of injury to a child. No bail information was available as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to the arrest affidavit, two NCSO investigators went to Woden ISD in reference to an injury to a child report. When they got there, a Woden ISD official told them he had a child at his school that had been spanked with an extension cord.

The WISD administrator told the investigators that the girl told him that she woke her mother up around midnight Tuesday because she had an ear ache. At that point, Locke allegedly told the girl she wasn't going to school, grabbed her by the hair, threw her on the bed, and started hitting her with an extension cord.

"The defendant told [his daughter] that if he could not hit her on the butt, then he would hit her wherever he could hit her," the affidavit stated. "This has occurred on numerous occasions that were not reported until this date."
