NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Investigators with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office filed four additional felony charges against a 52-year-old man who was already in jail for allegedly molesting a young girl on multiple occasions from 2010 to 2012.
On Thursday, NCSO investigators filed four first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child charges against Harvey Joe Puntch, of Nacogdoches. The warrants were served on Puntch at the jail.
Puntch is currently being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on the four aggravated sexual assault of a child charges and a previous second-degree felony charge of indecency with a child. His bail has been set at $75,000 for the indecency with a child charge, and no bail amounts have been set for the four new charges.
NCSO deputies arrested Puntch on Monday. Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office investigators interviewed Puntch on several different days, and he allegedly made numerous confessions. In addition, the investigators learned about more crimes Puntch allegedly committed against the girl when she was between the ages of 10 and 12.
"In cooperation with the Harold's House, a forensic interview was conducted with the victim," a press release stated. "The interview helped investigators learn several more details about the investigation. "
NCSO investigators obtained the new aggravated sexual assault of a child warrants Wednesday night.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputy spoke to the girl on Monday. The girl told the deputy that Puntch molested her on numerous occasions from the time she was in the fourth grade to when she was in the sixth grade.
The girl told the deputy that Puntch would put his hand down the front of her pants and inside her shirt when he touched her inappropriately, the affidavit stated.
