NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

After Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies made two separate traffic stops Friday morning, they arrested two men on drug charges and seized more than 17 grams of methamphetamine.

The two Nacogdoches men are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. No bail amount has been set for either man at this time.

Justin Wayne Ferguson, 27, was charged with first-degree felony delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 300 grams and state-jail felony delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram. Colt Dustin Tinney, 28, was charged with state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

According to a press release, deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 225 shortly after 1 a.m. Friday. The driver of the vehicle was acting very nervous, and deputies spotted drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle that was in plain view.

When the NCSO deputies searched the vehicle, they found 1 gram of crystal meth and two small bags of marijuana, the press release stated. Tinney was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

In a separate, unrelated traffic stop, deputies were attempting to locate a known fugitive on McKewen Drive at approximately 5 a.m. Friday when they located a vehicle matching the description of the one the fugitive is known to drive. They made a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the driver was identified as Ferguson, who was wanted on an outstanding delivery of a controlled substance warrant that had been filed by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office.

After NCSO got consent to search Ferguson's vehicle, they found several plastic bags of crystal meth, according to the press release. In addition, they got consent to search Ferguson's residence, where they allegedly found more crystal meth, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia in his bedroom. A total of 16.4 grams of meth was seized at Ferguson's residence, the press release stated.

Ferguson was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams.
