LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A Longview man charged in the murder of a 4-month-old child has turned himself into police.

Kendrick Jamal Elliott, 22, faces murder charges for the February 2013 death of an infant, Ja'Kavieonna Javette Elliott.

Autopsy records show the 4-month-old girl, who weighed 13 pounds, died of blunt impact to her head. She also had skull and rib fractures caused by blunt impact, according to the autopsy. Several scars on the infant’s nose and jaw are noted in the autopsy, as well.

A Gregg County Grand Jury indictment accuses Elliott of “striking the infant with or against an object unknown to the grand jury.”

The 6’1”, 210 pound Elliott turned himself in to Longview Police on Monday, and was booked into Gregg County Jail without bond.
