NBA approves Steve Ballmer's $2 billion bid for Los Angeles Clippers
LOS ANGELES, CA (KTRE) -
Former Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, bid $2 billion to buy the Los Angeles Clippers, and the NBA approved the bid Friday night.
However, the sale must also be approved by the league's owners with a three-fourths vote before it can be finalized.
Shelly Sterling and the Sterling family trust agreed not to sue the NBA and to absolve the NBA of litigation by others, including former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling, as part of the sale agreement.
Donald filed a $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA earlier on Friday.
