(CNN) – According to Rolling Stone, a jury decided in favor of the Beastie Boys in a lawsuit that they brought against Monster Energy Drink in 2012.

The group sued for copyright infringement after the company illegally used the group's music in a promotional video on their website.

A spokesperson for the Monster Energy Drink says it disagrees with the verdict and plans to appeal.

Group member Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz made a statement saying he's happy about the decision and thanks the jury.
