LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - Crime Stoppers of Lufkin wants your help identifying the suspect in an investigation involving burglary and a false alarm.

Just before 5 a.m. Friday, May 23, emergency responders from Lufkin Fire Department and Lufkin Police Department were sent to an active alarm at a church on East Denman Avenue in Lufkin.

After searching the large, multilevel building, the responders determined that no emergency existed. A review of videos captured by the church's security cameras revealed that an unidentified suspect had entered the building and activated the alarm.

The suspect appears to be a white male wearing glasses, a black T-shirt with yellow printing on its front and back, and black athletic shorts with white stripes on each side. He was barefoot and had a military-style haircut - shaved on the sides and back and close-cut on the top.

Investigators do not know what, if anything, the suspect took from the building but he was inside and around the building for an hour and a half. He also activated a fire alarm when no fire existed, and false alarms cause emergency responders to be unavailable for actual emergencies.
