Car enthusiasts love to hear the "purr" of a finely-tuned engine, but when they hear a "meow" under the hood, there's obviously a problem.

When car owner Angie Fox heard the meow under the hood, she called an Automotive service for help. Rusty Newton, the kitten's rescuer, was called in on the emergency. With no room under the hood, Newton had to work with the jacks.

Newton jacked up one side, and then the other, until he found enough room to slide under the car. That's when he found the kitten between the exhaust manifold and the fire wall.

Angie Fox was persistent when she heard the kitten purring. She said, "I could not leave with an animal in a vehicle, and soon we realized it was in the engine bay."

The jacking was the hard part, with the rescue only taking a few minutes. It ended with everyone being happy and the kitten being named. "We will name it boy or girl, name it Rusty," said Fox.
