There are more Lumberjacks from SFA's Track and Field team headed to the NCAA Championships.
Junior Joshua Taylor is making his first trip to nationals, individually, where he will run in the 400 meter hurdles.
Taylor is hoping to run his school record breaking time of 50.17 seconds or faster at this meet.
He's been to nationals before but with the 4x400 meter relay team and says he knows what to expect going into the meet.
"You just want to stay mentally focused. Everybody's very good up there, there's no slackers. The ones who stay mentally focused do well," said Taylor. "Making First Team All-American is the goal and increasing my time, but ultimately I run for The King. I run for God and whatever happens, happens. I'm just staying focused."
Then you have senior Cass Brown Stewart who runs the 400, and is all too familiar with going to nationals as this is his third trip to the NCAA Championships.
Last year, he was a First Team All-American and ranked high enough to run at the USA Championships as well.
Of course, he has the school record after crossing the line in 45.62 seconds.
Cass says he has achieved all the goals he set out for himself, so he's pretty relaxed going into this meet.
"I try not to put too much weight on the meet. I take it as any other meet," said Stewart. "It's not really as big of a deal as it would be if it was like my last meal or something. It's not that big of a deal, so I just take it as it is."
Both runners will race on Wednesday in Eugene, Oregon.
