CROSS COUNTY, AR -

(WMC) - Another thunderstorm has left damage in some Mid-South areas.

Marked Tree Police Department reported trees and limbs down along Highway 149.

In Cross County, the Cherry Valley area had a round of heavy thunderstorms that brought damaging winds through the area.

"It could have been way worse, of course. Way worse," said resident Janet Polston. "I'm not sure if it was straight-line winds or a tornado that just didn't touch down. I don't know."

The winds snapped many poles in two, and brought power lines down on Highway 1 from Wynne to Cherry Valley.

Polston and her daughter were inside their home during the storm.

"It just came up all at once. I was watching it through my back glass and I heard it above my head."

Power crews from Entergy and several crews of contractors from across the state were on hand helping to get lines off the ground.

After a stormy two weeks, Polston said this minimal damage is more of a blessing.

"I'm thankful, because I know there are a lot of people who haven't been this lucky," said Polston.

Emergency crews say there were more power lines and outages in the county, but no report of injuries.
