The Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization has selected 100 high school senior football players to take part in their 4th Annual Heart of a Champion Bowl game.
These players come from all across East Texas for the all-star game.
Players are drafted and put on a red, and blue team. Some players are former teammates that now have to go against each other, and most players are having to play together for the first time.
Either way, it's a good way to come together one last time to represent their schools, and for some it's their last chance putting on the pads, and helmets to play the game.
"It's cool because a lot of these guys on my team, I played against them for four years. Now I kind of know them and now I'm getting to know them from a different side," said Jacolby Whitaker from Alto. "It's good. I'm having a good time up here."
"It's really an honor because this year was a turn around season for us. I'm ready to let them know that Nacogdoches is back, and we are ready to win more games, and show them that we really have talent in Nacogdoches," said Jacorey Whitaker.
The Heart of a Champion Bowl will be in Tyler at Rose Stadium. The game is this Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
