NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Around 200 workers put the finishing touches on homes in the Nacogdoches community. The work is part of the Mission Nac project.

The event was a one week project with crews working on multiple houses at a time.

The homeowners say they own a great deal of gratitude to the teens and adults that came out to help.

"It was in terrible condition," Linda Swearinger. "All the paint was peeling. It looks all different than what it was."

Mission Nac says they have received a lot of community support from local restaurants and Lowe's, which gave them a 50 percent discount on all their supplies.
