(CNN) – Move over Bob Barker! Alex Trebek is Guinness' new record holder for most game shows hosted by the same presenter.

The Jeopardy! host has been the show's leading man almost 7,000 times and according to Guinness, Trebek has never had a sick day. The only time he wasn't on the show was in 1997 for April Fool's Day, when he and Wheel of Fortune host, Pat Sajack switched places.

Trebek has been hosting Jeopardy! since its return in 1984 and says he owes his accomplishment to the show's viewers.
