LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

It was all for the love of golf as 18 teams Tee'd it Up for charity at Lufkin Industries 7th annual "Tee it Up" for teachers golf tournament on Monday morning.

All the proceeds from the tournament were raised for six independent school districts in Angelina County so teachers can get future training opportunities.

"Everybody loves to golf or most of everybody does so when you come out and participate and have a lot of fun and fellowship and the competition is great, but the ultimate benefit are those teachers and students," said David Flowers, the superintendent for Huntington Independent School District. "To see the number of teams out here supporting the Angelina County teachers and students is something to see."

The team who made a Hole-in-One on hole number four won a $10,000 shopping spree thanks to Walmart and the team who made a Hole-in-One on number 17 won a vehicle from Perry Ellis Kia.

Stay posted for the names of those winners.
