LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - It's June and it's hot which means it's time for the 11th annual Dog Days of Summer charity golf tournament.
It's one of Winnie Berry Humane Society's major fundraiser's.
There's still plenty of time to grab your clubs and sign up to help the shelter raise money for the care of their animals.
All participants will be treated to a hot dog lunch, fajita dinner and there will be a putting contest.
Elaine Hunter with Winnie Berry said, "We raise money to help our animals around the shelter. There's always a need whether it's a medical need or something that we need in way of helping our building improve. We always have needs here and it's a great way to raise money."
There are still plenty of spots left for teams to sign up.
The tournament starts at noon Friday at Crown Colony.
It's $125 per individual and $500 per team.
