Police: Nacogdoches man stabbed after breaking into apartment

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man sits wounded behind bars after he allegedly broke into an apartment to see his ex-girlfriend. 

Keenan Ivy Blount,22, of Nacogdoches was arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation. 

According to Nacogdoches Police Sgt. Mark Hurst, Blount broke into an apartment in the Northview Condominiums in Nacogdoches around 1:19 a.m. on Saturday. 

Hurst said Blount was trying to see his ex-girlfriend, but when he entered the apartment the tenant living their grabbed a kitchen knife in self defense and stabbed Blount. 

Blount was sent to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released into police custody.
