Affidavit: Nacogdoches man angry over repoed truck tells son, 'I'm going to blow your head off'

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 66-yar-old man on Tuesday after he allegedly got into an argument with his son over a truck that had been repossessed, racked a round into his shotgun and threatened to kill the younger man.

William Lloyd Moritz, of Nacogdoches, still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated assault of a family member. His bail has been set at $20,000.

According to the arrest affidavit, NCSO deputies were dispatched out to a home in the 800 block of County Road 811 in reference to a disturbance in progress. While they were on their way, dispatch told them that Moritz was armed with a shotgun and had threatened to kill his son.

When they arrived on the scene, the victim, Moritz's son said that he and his father had gotten into an argument because the younger man had recently bought a new truck that had been repossessed, according to the affidavit. Then the victim's mother paid to get the truck back.

After the argument escalated, Moritz allegedly grabbed a shotgun, racked a round into its chamber and told his son, "I'm going to blow your head off."

Moritz was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
