LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - It was a sweet victory for some Vacation Bible School kids and it was all for a good cause even though one teacher is going home with a little less hair this evening.
The kids at the Harmony Hill Baptist Church Vacation Bible School in Lufkin set a goal to raise $1,500, so they could build a house in Niger, Africa.
If they kids met their goal, one of their VBS teachers would shave her head. Since the kids raised $2,600 that's exactly what happened.
Plus, one of the church's pastors joined in on the fun and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on his head.
