NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

If you play golf and are looking to give back to those who have served our country, this is your opportunity to both of those things.

Saturday, June 28th, at Woodland Hills Golf Club in Nacogdoches, the Veterans Resource Center at Stephen F. Austin will be hosting a, 'Salute to the Troops Golf Tournament.'

It's a four person scramble at $200 per team.

Registration begins at 7 in the morning and tee off time is set for 8 a.m.

Lunch is included and all the money will benefit the Holly Springs Freedom Feast held for veterans directly in our area of East Texas.

"We want the money that we raise to stay within our community so our veterans are helped right here at home in our specific communities. I think the public would love to see their money go the distance," said John Fontenot, Veterans Resource Center Coordinator for Stephen F. Austin. "We want to keep Nacogdoches money here in Nacogdoches so if someone needs a wheelchair ramp or any kind of assistance, they can actually see their money go the distance here in the community."
