LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office is investigating a physical altercation, where a man was allegedly attacked with a machete at the same home where a Pollok woman was allegedly murdered back in April.

According to Sgt. Chris Wade, around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office received a called from a neighbor about a  physical altercation at a home off Virginia Road, which is off of U.S. 59.

Wade said Johnny Hunt, the victim, alleged that his brother attacked him with a machete after they got into a  physical altercation.

Wade said they are still investigating the incident and have a person of interest.

Hunt was taken by EMS to a local hospital where he is being treated for cuts to his ear and forehead.

This altercation took place at the same house where Elisha Henson, 30, was allegedly murdered at back in April. Henson's body was found on May 10 after a group of children discovered a body in a wooded area in the Rivercrest community. Henson was last seen driving her vehicle on April 27, according to the Sheriff's Office. Her family filed a missing persons report with law enforcement on May 1.

The two suspects in Henson's murder, Justin Elisha Welch, 22, and Rosalind Welch Smith, 41, are still being held in the Angelina County Jail. Welch and Smith were both charged with first-degree felony murder. Smith was also charged with a second-degree felony burglary of a habitation charge, a third-degree felony charge of tampering with physical evidence, and four misdemeanor charges.

Welch's bail was set at $250,000, and Smith's collective bail was set at $289,000.
