(KLTV) -

The man accused of being the Loan Ranger Bandit has been arrested by Arkansas State Troopers, and is facing multiple charges.

He was arrested on July 1, after he had just robbed the Summit Bank in Benton, Arkansas, Tyler police say. The so-called bandit has been identified as Richard Swicegood, 37 years of age, from Waxahachie, Texas. FBI officials have confirmed the "Loan Ranger Bandit" is responsible for numerous bank robberies in multiple states that include two in Tyler.

Police say that Swicegood was arrested in a traffic stop near Forrest City, Arkansas. Detectives there found that he was driving a red Ford Mustang with Texas license plates, and shared that information with other agencies in Arkansas to get statewide help locating the vehicle.

Swicegood was transported to the Benton, Arkansas, police department for questioning. Officers were able to link him to the robbery in Arkansas on July 1, as well as robberies that took place in that same bank in 2009 and 2011. He is now charged with 11 counts of Aggravated Robbery, three counts of Theft of Property, and one count of Unauthorized Use of Another Person's Property to Facilitate a Crime.

In addition to Benton and Tyler, Swicegood is believed to have committed robberies in Louisville, Kentucky, Madison, Mississippi, as well as Texas cities Wichita Falls, Temple, Round Rock, Salado, and College Station.

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
