Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21-year-old man Tuesday afternoon after they went to his apartment to serve outstanding arrest warrants on him and allegedly found marijuana and cocaine.

Javonte De’Laone Hunt, 21, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on four felony charges, including a motion to revoke probation for a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams charge, a motion to revoke probation for a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams, evading arrest with a vehicle with a previous conviction, and possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Collectively, Hunt’s bail was set at $5,000.

Tuesday’s arrest wasn’t Hunt’s first run-in with the law.

In March 2011, Hunt was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of at least four car burglaries and other drug charges.

According to a previous East Texas News story, Hunt stole a .22-caliber rifle, car stereo, camera and a pair of shoes, over the weekend of April 10, 2011. He was charged with engaging in organized crime.

Hunt and his mother were arrested on April 21, 2011 in a drug bust. The Angelina Sheriff's Office charged him on one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of drug possession.

According to the complaint, Det. Norman Williams was able to connect all items reported stolen back to Hunt.

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
