Man claims off-duty Lufkin Police Officer ran him off the road

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man claims he was ran off the road by a man who identified himself as an off-duty Lufkin Police Sergeant.

According to Lufkin Police Sergeant, Rodney Squyers, the complainant came to the police station to report a reckless driving incident. 

The complainant said he was driving down Frank St. around 10:00 p.m. on Friday when a reckless driver ran him off the road. 

The complainant reported that when he confronted the reckless driver, he allegedly told him that he was an off-duty Lufkin police sergeant. 

Squyers said the incident is currently under investigation.
