TIMPSON, TX (KTRE) - Downtown Timpson was full of music, food and western reenactments on Saturday for their annual Frontier Days.
This four day event is filled with different activities for the family, from carnival rides for the kids to a car show for the dads.
The event is hosted by the Timpson Chamber of Commerce and is a way for the chamber to not only raise money, but to celebrate the towns rich history.
"Frontier Day began in about 1960, it began with some of the merchants on the square, they decided they wanted to do a festival for Timpson. So, they got together and formed a festival to bring the people together to let them know that everybody is friendly, everybody loves each other, and everybody has a good time," said Timpson Chamber of Commerce Frontier Days Coordinator, Marilyn Corder.
Frontier Days started on Thursday and ends on Sunday.
