Hit and run sends a bicyclist to the hospital

Law enforcement need your help in identifying a vehicle that hit a bicyclist and then leaves the scene.The incident happened around 2 .a.m. today at the 500 block of Timberland. 

According to the Lufkin Police Department,Three young adults were riding their bikes, when a 2003-2004 white Toyota Tundra Hit one of them and then fled the scene. The Driver however did leave a few clues behind. The driver who the boys described as a Hispanic male, left parts of his vehicle at the scene. 

Sgt. Mike Shurely with the Lufkin Police Department said the driver left parts of his vehicle at the scene.

"The vehicle is missing the front passenger side assembly headlight and the Toyota emblem, and there might be additional paint damage,” Shurley said.

The injured was transported to Memorial Health Systems for unknown injuries. He has since been transferred to another location. If you know anything about this incident please call Lufkin Police at 936 633-0356
