TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

Juan Lopez, of Trinity, was arrested and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, which is a first-degree felony. His bail was set at $100,000.

According to the Trinity Police Department, the child’s mother came in to talk to officers and file a complaint on Monday. She told police that Lopez had been touching the child inappropriately since February 2013.

The arrest affidavit obtained by East Texas News also stated that Lopez told Trinity Police officers that he showed the victim pornography on his cellphone.

The TPD worked with SAAFE House and Kalin’s Center on the case. A SANE exam revealed injuries that were consistent with continuous molestation, according to the arrest affidavit.

A forensic interviewer at Kalin’s Center also talked to the victim’s 10-year-old brother. According to the affidavit, the brother saw Lopez molesting the victim, whose pants were down.
