Affidavit: Former employee stole $1,600 from Nacogdoches Co. store

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 35-year-old woman Friday after she allegedly stole approximately $1,600 from the Tom’s Grocery store located at 14542 US Highway 59 North in the period from July 8 to July 17.

Jessica Ruth Hall, of Nacogdoches, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of theft between $1,500 and $20,000 on Friday. She posted a bail amount of $7,500 and was released later that day.

According to the arrest affidavit, NCSO deputies were dispatched out to the Tom’s Grocery store in reference to an alleged theft by an employee. The affidavit stated that Hall admitted to stealing the money to sheriff’s deputies and the store’s management.

She was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
