ALTO, TX (KTRE) - The 18U Bad Aces will be chasing after a Dixie Youth Softball World Series championship.
Team is collaborated from girls primarily from Rusk and Alto, but this is not their first World Series run.
They are going back-to-back years, and they will be the only team from the state representing Texas.
The girls said it was a nervous run the first year, but going a second time makes them all the more confident.
"I feel like we play more as a team than last year. I know going to the World Series last year we were really nervous, but I think every girl brings something to the team and that has a spark," said Gabby Willis, who plays third base.
There will be 12 other states all going after the same number one spot.
"We just got to play with an attitude knowing that we can do it," said pitcher Bailee Stanley. "We're representing Texas so that's a big deal. At the end if we do loose, we have to take our state flag down and that's something we really don't want to do."
The Bad Aces will leave Friday for their first game Saturday in Atoka, Tennessee.
