LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A local artist is using his talents for good. Blake Bean, an ETECH employee, donated several of his hand-made, one-of-a-kind paintings to the first ever ETECH live art auction Friday afternoon.

The art is truly unique because he even makes the canvas out of blankets, sand, and glue.

The auction raised more than $300, and all of the money is going toward a good cause.

"One of our agents, Mr. Blake Bean, donated six of his hand-crafted art pieces that we auctioned off, and those proceeds are going to go to our back to school supply drive so everything that we have sold today is going to help us go out and buy supplies," said Alana Culpepper, ETECH human resources manager.

If you missed the auction but would like to donate, you still can. You can make donations or drop off school supplies at ETECH just ask for Alana.
