Tenaha woman killed after driving into tree

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Tenaha woman died after losing control and driving into a tree in Shelby County Sunday night.

Amanda Kay Haney, 22, died at the scene at 11:19 p.m.

According to the DPS report, Haney was driving a 2004 Mazda 3 on FM 2667, two miles west of Timpson, at an unsafe speed when she left the road on a curve and hit a tree. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
