LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police officers arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman and her son in the parking of the Pizza Hut on South Timberland Drive Tuesday evening.
David Wayne McAnelley, of Burkeville, was booked into the Angelina County Jail Wednesday on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct-indecent exposure charge. He was released from the jail after he posted a $500 bail later that day.
Sgt. David Casper, a spokesman for the Lufkin police Department, said that the victim and her adult son were in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut in the 300 block of South Timberland Drive at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday when a man began walking toward them.
The victim told police that, at first, she thought the man, who was later identified as McAnelley, was tucking his shirt in, Casper said. However, McAnelley allegedly unzipped his pants and exposed himself to her.
Casper said that the woman believes that McAnelley turned and walked in the other direction when he noticed her son with her.
Lufkin Police officers located McAnelley a short time later, and based on the witnesses' statements, the suspect was arrested and taken to the Angelina County Jail.
