The First United Methodist Church and the Junior League of Lufkin are gearing up for their annual Back-to-School Bonanza.
From haircuts to medical checkups, kids and their parents can get everything they need to start the year off right.
First United Methodist officials said with the help of the Junior League and several other businesses, they will be able to help 2,000 kids.
"This is just another way for the church to support the youth in the community, and so we do this in conjunction with the Junior League because we think it is important to do it, not just us but as a group of people," said First United Methodist Evangelism Committee Chair Rodney Thompson.
The Bonanza will take place on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church and is only available to those families who have already registered for the event.
