ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Huntington police have arrested a Lufkin man who is accused of fighting with officers after he was caught running around in nothing but his underwear.

Chief Bobby Epperly said an officer was coming back to Huntington when he heard a report that a man, later identified as Jacob Scott Batson, 18, was running around by Country Club, located on US 69, in nothing but his underwear.

When the officer met up with him, Batson was combative and had to be struck with a TASER device, Epperly said. He said the officer received a hand injury in the melee.

When Batson was being taken to the Angelina County Jail, he kicked the door in the patrol car hard enough to damage the door frame.

Batson is charged with assault of a public servant and criminal mischief.
