LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) -

Livingston Police officers arrested a 25-year-old Livingston man early Tuesday morning after he allegedly got into a disturbance with his girlfriend, brandished a gun, and wouldn't let her or her 2-year-old child leave.

Deniro Sharod Haynes is still being held in the Polk County Jail on three felony charges - endangering a child - imminent bodily injury, aggravated assault of a family member with a deadly weapon, and tampering with physical evidence. Collectively, his bail was set at $90,000.

Lt. Matt Parrish, a spokesman for the Livingston Police Department, said LPD officers were dispatched to the French Quarter apartments early Tuesday morning in reference to a disturbance involving a gun.

Witnesses at the scene said Haynes came out of a back room during the disturbance and threatened to shoot a family member, Parrish said. Haynes allegedly also brandished the gun and kept his girlfriend and her 2-year-old child from leaving the apartment.

Haynes was found in the back bedroom, Parrish said. Parrish said one witness said when family members called 911, Haynes ran into the room and hid the handgun.
