HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

Hudson police arrested four people following a traffic stop on State Highway 94 Monday evening.

Patrick Butler, 33, of Huntington, Leah Harvey, 20, of Nacogdoches, Melissa Jones, 28, of Lufkin, and Brian Garrett, 28, of Lufkin, are each charged with third-degree possession transport chemicals with intent to manufacture. Garrett is also charged with third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by felon and was also arrested on a charge of theft.

According to the police report, an officer stopped a 2014 Mercedes which was pulling out of Horton's Hollow Drive at 5:45 p.m. and headed west on Highway 94, because of an expired registration.

The officer called another officer to the scene and reported they found components of a meth lab. Butler and the driver, Garrett, each had a needle and one of them even told the officers he had just injected meth into his bloodstream, according to the report.

Garrett at first gave a different name to officers, but they later learned his true identity, according to the report.
