TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - Trinity police have arrested a man accused of beating up another man after he would not let him move into his trailer home.
Javier Solis is charged with first-degree injury to elderly.
Police Chief Steven Jones said Solis was helping a 76-year-old man move into a camper trailer on Stepp Street on Aug. 9. After they finished with the move, they spent the rest of the day drinking.
Solis eventually left the trailer, but returned around 7:40 p.m. and asked the man if he could move into a room in the trailer, Jones said. When the man told him no, Solis began punching the man and kept attacking him until the man suffered severe injuries, Jones said.
Jones said the man required an overnight stay in the hospital with head injuries.
Police filed a warrant on Solis and were able to arrest him on Wednesday.
